North East Wales Search and Rescue (NEWSAR) said its was called to Wepre Park on Sunday afternoon to assist a lady with a lower leg injury on a section of steep path.
A NEWSAR spokesperson said: "Our team doctor provided pain relief and splinted the injured limb, before the team stretchered her to the road.
"We then took her to hospital in one of our Landrovers.
"Thanks for the assistance from the Wepre Park Wardens and for the local farm owner for access across his fields which massively speeded up the extraction.
"Cows were very inquisitive!"
