CRIME: 16 counts of sexual offences – namely that he attempted to communicate with a child in a sexual manner and attempted to have young girls engage in sexual activity.

SENTENCE: Overall prison sentence of four years.

WHAT THE JUDGE SAID: “Your offending is clearly escalating and it's extremely concerning to us."

CRIME: Had in his possession a quantity of cocaine with intent to supply it to another.

SENTENCE: 28 months custody

WHAT THE JUDGE SAID: "You have to understand that when you come from Liverpool into North Wales, you're coming into an area blighted by the harm of class A drugs."

NAME: Ben Peter Randles

AGE: 27

CRIME: Dangerous driving

SENTENCE: Six months sentence to be served in addition to his ongoing jail term.

WHAT THE JUDGE SAID: "You were driving in a highly dangerous manner, at high speed and for some distance."

 

Court: Wrexham man who had 'medieval' and 'fearsome' weapon has been jailed

NAME: Taran Norman

AGE: 24

CRIME: Possession of an offensive weapon in a public place

SENTENCE: Five month custodial sentence.

WHAT THE JUDGE SAID: “It is almost beyond belief why someone would want to construct this medieval type weapon, let alone carry it on their person in public.”

NAME: Jonathon Ainsworth

AGE: 26

CRIME: Four offences of conveying drugs into HMP Berwyn

SENTENCE: One year and eight months to be served immediately

WHAT THE JUDGE SAID: "You are genuinely remorseful and have taken responsibility for your poor decision making."
