Author of the Month for May: Paul Auster

Books by Paul Auster.

Books by Paul Auster.

American novelist Paul Auster has captivated readers for decades with his distinctive narrative style and flare for building suspense. Many of his most loved novels and autobiographies feature recurring themes of identity and duplicity, along with characters who are often writers and storytellers themselves.

Whether you are discovering his books for the very first time, or revisiting some of his best known and loved titles, we have put together a small reading list to set you off on a Paul Auster adventure.

Where it all began: The New York Trilogy (1987)

Beloved titles: The Book of Illusions (2002), The Brooklyn Follies (2005), Invisible (2009)

Autobiographies and Memoirs: The Invention of Solitude (1982), Winter Journal (2012), Report from the Interior (2013)

More recently: 4321 (2017)

Aura Libraries top recommendation: Sunset Park (2010)

Trust Me by T.M. Logan

Trust Me by T.M. Logan

This week's reading recommendation comes from Vicky at Buckley Library. She said: "T.M. Logan's latest thriller, Trust Me, is a rollercoaster of a ride! It has so many twists and turns; you just don't know who the main character Ellen can trust. She finds herself left holding a baby with a note that says: 'Please protect Mia, don't trust the police, don't trust anyone…' It had me hooked from the very first page and I found it hard to put down. I would give this title an Aura Book Score of 5/5."

Trust Me, along with other titles by T.M. Logan, is available to borrow from your local Aura library. Why not add it to your next Select and Collect order: search our online library catalogue and reserve titles, or email or telephone your local library. To make an order please phone us on 01352 703750, or email us at libraries@aura.wales You can browse our catalogue at www.aura.wales/flintshire-library-catalogue/ and place a hold on items to collect from the library counter. We will just need to know your library membership number, a contact telephone number and email address, your book requests/preferences, and your preferred collection point.
