A FACTORY worker “fixated” with his ex-partner had ignored a restraining order and posted sinister comments on social media, a district judge said on Monday.

Shaun Price, 50, of St David’s Lane, Mold, was jailed for a total of eight months at Llandudno court.

The existing restraining order was amended to ban him from the village of Caergwrle.

He admitted two breaches of the order and was under a suspended sentence.

Prosecutor James Neary said the victim’s daughter had noticed a Facebook comment from a “Peter Smith” but the profile image was of Price.

A series of messages caused concern.

Then, on April 9, Price had been spotted in Castle Street, Caergwrle, when prohibited.

Defence solicitor Dafydd Roberts said sometimes messages were sent when Price had been drinking.

But his alcohol consumption had reduced. Price had been diagnosed with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD).

Judge Gwyn Jones told the defendant: ”It’s clear from the messages on Facebook you still have an extremely unhealthy interest in your former partner.”

He was fixated with her and had “flagrantly” disregarded the court order.

Price had referred to being in prison and it being time for “karma.”
