POLICE in Flintshire are working to tackle drink and drug driving as pubs resume trade.
Flintshire North Inspector Stephen Roberts urged residents not to undertake the behaviour.
He said: "As we see the re-opening of our pubs and other licensed premises we are focusing some of our attention to those people who drive, having had too much to drink or having taken drugs.
"Officers will be focusing their attention at the salient times to licensed premises with a view to identifying and dealing with these offenders.
"I would urge the public not to drink/take drugs and drive.
"The impact to victims of drink/ drug drivers is enormous, as is the impact on the lives of those offenders and their families following conviction for such offences."
