A WOMAN has died after a car crashed into a wall off a main road in Flintshire.
The incident occurred on the A548 Coast Road in Bagillt at about midday and police, ambulance and fire services were at the scene.
North Wales Police earlier said a car had collided with a wall and has now confirmed that an 84-year-old woman has sadly died following the incident.
The Welsh Ambulance Service had earlier said a patient was taken to Glan Clwyd Hospital.
A North Wales Police spokesperson said: "Following a single vehicle RTC [road traffic collision] on High Street Bagillt earlier today, we can sadly confirm that an 84-year-old woman died.
"The road remains closed and the lady’s next of kin have been informed. We are not in a position to provide any further details at present."
