AN INVESTIGATION has been launched following two incidents of arson in Wrexham over the bank holiday weekend.
Wrexham Town Inspector Luke Hughes has called for information about the incidents, which took place at a site on Bersham Enterprise Centre in Rhostyllen.
The first occurred at 8pm on Sunday and involved cardboard in a skip. The second happened in the early hours of Monday morning and involved household rubbish at the same location.
Insp Hughes said: "We are investigating two incidents of arson which occurred over the bank holiday weekend at a business on the Rhostyllen trading estate.
"It would appear that on each occasion offenders have deliberately ignited rubbish that was stored at the location.
"Thankfully the fire was contained but presents a significant risk given the unknown content of the skips and the risk that it could spread.
"Anyone who happened to be in the area or has information in relation to these offences is encouraged to contact us via 101 or the website site chat facility with reference 21000214997."
