PUBLIC Health Wales will not be reporting coronavirus data online during parts of the Bank Holiday weekend.

Figures are usually reported at lunchtime (12pm) daily by the health officials on their data dashboard and through social media channels.

However, due to the Easter Bank Holiday, there will be gaps in the figures and those numbers will carry over to the following day.

It was confirmed that the authority would not be issuing its usual report on Good Friday (April 2) as well as Easter Sunday (April 4).

In a statement, PHW advised the nation to be aware that there will be a backlog of data that will flow through to the system on the following days.

A spokesman said: “Mirroring arrangements at Christmas time, we will not be publishing coronavirus data on the dashboard or a daily statement on Good Friday (April 2) or Easter Sunday (April ).

“It is therefore likely that the daily figures produced on Monday 5 and Tuesday 6 April 2021 will be around double the usual 24-hour figure.”
