Nature can be brutal. And apparently has quite the appetite, as this fantastic photo proves.
This moment of poor portion control by a cormorant was captured by Leader Camera Club member Matt Jones, at Moss Valley.
He explains it was really a case of being in the right place at the right time.
Matt said: "I was just about to leave, I'd actually gone there to find the kingfishers.
"I'd seen the cormorant the day before and it came circling in, so I thought I've got to hold on now to see if it does go fishing, that's what they're known for.
"I lay down on one of the fishing pegs. Initially I missed it get a smaller fish, as when they go down, they come up in a different spot.
"But I managed to get what must have been its biggest meal of the day, it was a whopper.
"It wasn't until I got home that I was happy to see it was in focus. It told a good story."
