MOTORISTS have been urged to use alternative routes following a collision in Ruabon.
North Wales Fire and Rescue Service confirmed a two-vehicle collision near the Wynnstay Technology Park was reported at 1.42pm on Saturday.
Firefighters have extricated two casualties and the ambulance service is also in attendance, a spokesman said.
Two fire crews remain at the scene.
North Wales Police has advised the public that a road closure is currently in place on the A539, Llangollen Road - between the junction with Plas Bennion Road and Bridge Street roundabout.
A spokesman said: "Please use alternative routes. Thank you."
The Welsh Ambulance Service confirmed a rapid response vehicle and three ambulances attended the scene.
"We were at the scene at 1.42pm," a spokesman said.
"Two patients were taken to the Maelor Hospital."
