HOTEL staff have put on their walking shoes to raise funds for a struggling charity.

Staff members at the Rossett Hall Hotel decided to put on their running shoes in a bid to raise £1,500 for Nightingale Hospice.

In a joint effort, the participants came together to walk and run 1,500km during February.

Almost 30 team members recorded their morning jogs, dog walks and family exercise.

Adrian Modoi said: "I’ve always been proud of our team here at Rossett Hall Hotel but the response we’ve had to the challenge has been amazing.

"With Nightingale Hospice needing to raise some 80 per cent of operating costs every year (around £2.8M) we thought we should try to help during these difficult times."

Over 2073k was walked or ran throughout February and over £1,500 was raised.
