PLANS for a new garden at a Buckley community centre have been unveiled.
The 'Hawkesbury Covid Garden 2021' is expected to be installed in June at the rear of Hawkesbury Community Centre.
Cllr David Ellis, chairman of the community centre, said he has applied for funding to transform the 240 square metre space.
He explained: "We're going to replace the old garden with artificial grass which will mean it is accessible and usable 365 days a year.
"It will be an outdoor area for everyone, but mainly for for children and classes; like dance and martial arts groups.
"I have applied for funding this week so fingers crossed we get that, but we will make sure it is funded one way or another.
"Children have been struggling to go out lately because the grass is wet and muddy but this will ensure they can get fresh air and exercise, which is essential.
"It is a secure and secluded garden, which is fenced off. "We're looking to have it installed in June.
"We will keep everyone updated as and when it happens."
