IT is World Book Day today (March 4) and despite being one of the most difficult years, many youngsters will still be getting dressed up as their favourite literary character.

Is your child dressing up? We would love to see your photos to show off their efforts. Use the link below or email claire.pierce@newsquest.co.uk - please include your child's name, their school if going, and the character they are dressed as with your picture.

Children from across Wrexham and Flintshire will be dusting off their magic wands and finding their fairy wings for the annual celebration of reading and writing.

Usually it means children of all ages going to school dressed up as witches, wizards, pirates and princesses and other literary characters.

Of course, for a lot of children, the return to school has still to happen, but we know that won't stop those who are still at home from taking part in the fun.

We've included a selection of pictures from past years, which might even give you some inspiration.
