A FLINTSHIRE man has been fined and banned after he admitted drink driving.
Robert Ernest Roberts, of Queens Road in Greenfield, appeared at Mold Magistrates Court on Friday.
The 61-year-old admitted that on September 22 last year he drove a Nissan Qashqai on the A5026 in Holywell after consuming so much alcohol that the proportion of it in his blood exceeded the prescribed limit.
He was found to have 149 milligrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of blood - the limit being 80.
Roberts was fined £200 and was ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £34, as well as £85 costs.
He was disqualified from holding or obtaining a driving licence for 18 months.
