A COUNCILLOR has slammed irresponsible dog owners as dog fouling continues to plague a local town.
Dog fouling has been an issue in Shotton for several years, but councillor Mike Evans said enough is enough.
He told the Leader it is like a 'mine field' on parts of the pavement, especially on Strickland Street and Clarence Street.
He added: "Myself and Councillor Tom Oldfield have been monitoring and reporting this for ages. It's like the Krypton Factor trying to negotiate your way around.
"There are other places also blighted by dog fouling Plymouth Street just to name one and Strickland Street.
"If you have a dog it's Your Responsibility to pick up its mess, nobody else's but you."
Cllr Evans said he regularly raises this with the town council and streetscene but people continue to leave their dog's mess.
He went on to say that flytipping is also blighting the town and despite some 'good days', these are mainly outweighed by the bad which is 'typically nearly every day'.
Cllr Evans is urging residents to have pride in their town and keep it clean and tidy for all.
