GENEROUS donations from two local families and business provides Flint RNLI with tools to maintain its lifeboat and vehicles ensuring they are ready to launch on service.

Flint RNLI required new storage and tools to help maintain its lifeboat and vehicles so reached out to the local Sandycroft branch of Cromwell Tools for supplies.

Generous donations was presented to Flint RNLI from two local families who had recently suffered a bereavement. Their donation was matched by Cromwell Tools who wanted to support their local lifeboat crew by furnishing the station with new storage cabinets as well as equipment to help the volunteers maintain the lifeboat and station vehicles.

Alan Forrester, Flint Lifeboat Operation Manager, said: "We are extremely grateful to the families and Cromwell Tools for their support of Flint Lifeboat.

"Regular maintenance of all assets is extremely important and it will make a big difference to the station.

"In 2020 our volunteers responded to 30 calls and have already been called upon five times in 2021."
