A MAN has been sent back to jail after police found him carrying several weapons in Caia Park.
Inspector Luke Hughes, overseeing the Wrexham Town Policing Team, told the Leader about the terrifying find.
Officers were in the Caia Park area responding to concerns from community members on February 17 about local drug dealing.
He explained how Alex Lee Williams was stopped in Queensway at around 11.40am
When police searched him, they found multiple weapons – including two knives, a hammer and a catapult. He was also found with a balaclava.
Insp Hughes said: “He was arrested for possession of those articles and recalled to prison.
“He was sentenced to six months as a result of the items found. This was a positive result.”
