A 41-year-old Wrexham man has today denied the murder of Terry Edwards, 60, who was found dead at his home in Pont Wen, Caia Park, on June 1.
Barry Bagnall, of Trevenna Way, Wrexham, who appeared at Mold Crown Court, is accused of murder between May 28 and May 31.
He also pleaded not guilty to trying to pervert justice by seeking to persuade a woman to fabricate evidence involving a mobile phone.
Judge Rhys Rowlands made a number of legal directions during a 20-minute hearing before remanding him in custody.
A trial will begin on June 1.
The defendant was represented by David Elias QC.
