WREXHAM’s new Hollywood owners have done some social media rebranding after the takeover was complete.

The club confirmed on Tuesday evening that the RR McReynolds Company LLC – made up of Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney - has taken full control of Wrexham AFC Limited from the Wrexham Supporters Trust.

To mark the completed takeover - the Hollywood duo took to social media and rebranded their profiles.

In a tweet posted last night, February 9, the 'It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia' actor said: “The @Wrexham_AFC handover is complete! We’re toasting with a limited-edition bottle of @AviationGin and I am rebranding as Wrob.

“Both of which I am apparently legally obligated to do as I've been informed Ryan now owns my life rights. My lawyer is currently looking into it.”

Co-owner Ryan Reynolds – who rebranded his account as Wryan - responded: “There are no small bottles, Wrob. Only small owners.... with small bottles. p.s. We have the same lawyer.”

The Deadpool film star also added the Welsh flag to his location tag on the social media platform before posting a second update to fans.

In the photo, he donned a Wrexham AFC jacket bearing his initials along with the caption: “Can’t get to the Racecourse Ground fast enough. Game on. #UpTheTown.”
