A WOMAN has sustained life threatening injuries after crashing into a house in Overton on Wednesday night, police confirm.

Shortly after 7:30pm on February 3, police received a report of a one-vehicle collision on the A539 whereby a silver coloured Vauxhall Zafira had left the road and collided with a house.

The emergency services were called to the scene and the woman, who is in her 30’s, was airlifted to hospital in Stoke.

As of this morning, Thursday, she remains in a critical condition.

North Wales Fire and Rescue Service confirmed that they attended with two crews along with police and paramedics.

Officers assisted paramedics as the woman was extricated from her vehicle by providing lighting at the scene and made the vehicle electrically safe.

Sergeant Nicky Collins of the Roads Policing Unit is appealing for any witnesses to contact North Wales Police.

She said: “The Vauxhall Zafira was travelling from the Wrexham direction into the village of Overton and we are urging anybody who may have been travelling along the A539 in the area before 7:30pm last night and who may have dash cam footage to contact us.”
