ALL eyes will now be fixed on Wrexham AFC this week after hints of a ‘fun week’ ahead by Hollywood owners.

Social media was quick to react to the congratulatory tweets following the team’s 3-1 win against Dover.

However, one stood out from the crowd.

Posted by “It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia” actor and one of the club’s owners-elect Rob McElhenney, fans were teased of more good news to come later this week.

In response to the victory, the A-lister said: “Should make for a fun week. Amongst other things...”

Many speculated that the final takeover could be announced within a matter of days.

Prior to the Christmas break, the club issued a statement saying: “As we approach the festive period the Wrexham Supporters Trust, along with Rob McElhenney and Ryan Reynolds, would like to give reassurance to supporters that progress has been made across all elements of the transfer of ownership voted for overwhelmingly by members.

“We look forward to concluding the transfer as soon as possible subject to League, FA and Financial Conduct Authority approval.

“A rigorous process is in the best interests of the club and the new owners and is something that both parties welcome.

“We would like to wish Wrexham AFC fans across the world a safe and peaceful Christmas.”
