A MEDICAL practice in Flintshire has provided an update on its Covid vaccination programme.

Bradley's Practice, which has surgeries in Buckley and Mold, says it received 120 doses of the Oxford/AstraZeneca vaccine on Wednesday of this week.

On Thursday evening the practice had used up all of these doses for its over 80s group by contacting each patient and vaccinating them at its Buckley surgery.

This now means approximately 25 per cent of its over 80s group have now been vaccinated.

A spokesperson for Bradley's Practice said: "We are now planning how to vaccinate our 80 year plus housebound group by working closely with our district nursing team.

"For the remaining 75 per cent our aim, if given sufficient quantities of the vaccine, is to vaccinate within two weeks and then plan for the over 75s group.

"This is a significant increase to our workload but this is a welcome goal.

"We again thank you for your patience but also ask you not to phone in enquiring when you will be vaccinated.

"We are trying to provide our normal service on top of everything else.

"We witnessed first hand how grateful patients were when they received this vaccine last Wednesday and last night. Take care - and remember the key guidelines to keep yourself safe and protect others."
