A GARDEN City man who admitted taking a vehicle and driving without insurance has been given a community order.
David Alan Amos, of Maes Helyg, appeared at Mold Magistrates Court on Tuesday.
The 23-year-old admitted that on August 22 last year, he took a Ford Transit in Buckley without the consent of the owner or authority - and that before it was recovered an accident occurred involving another vehicle.
For this offence, he was made the subject of a community order and must undertake 120 hours of unpaid work by January 11 next year.
He received no separate penalty for the other two offences he admitted; that on the same date on Station Road in Queensferry he drove a Ford Transit otherwise than in accordance with a license and without insurance.
Amos was ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £95 and costs of £85.
He was also disqualified from holding or obtaining a driving licence for 12 months.
