A WARNING has been issued to be aware of door scammers after a Wrexham Council van was broken into.
Officers at North Wales Police Eastern Community Safety team is urging residents to remain vigilant.
A spokesman confirmed a Wrexham Council van had been broken into and a body warmer jacket marked with a Wrexham Council logo was stolen.
They added: "Beware of anyone knocking on your door purporting to be from the council.
"Ask for ID and phone the council to see if they are legitimate 01978 292000."
