POLICE are urging people to look out for neighbours after an elderly Wrexham man was targeted by scammers twice on the same day.
North Wales Police's Community Safety Eastern team says an 87-year-old man living in the Bryn Offa area was twice targeted by scammers on Tuesday.
The first instance occurred at 10am and saw a man say he would cut a tree in the man's garden for a donation to the NHS.
The second occurred in the evening and involved a man tying to sell the 87-year-old gentleman cleaning products - again for an alleged donation to the NHS.
Police say both incidents were scams and are urging people to look out for their neighbours - particularly those who are elderly and vulnerable.
