MOTORISTS are being urged to lock their cars after reports of thefts in Buckley.

Officers at the South Flintshire policing team confirmed they have received reports of people trying car doors in the Buckley area.

As a result, some items have been stolen from unlocked vehicles.

A spokesman said: "We are aware of several reports of people trying car doors/theft from vehicles overnight in the Buckley area.

"If this has happened to you please contact the force control room via webchat or 101."

Officers at the Community Eastern Safety team said three out four vehicles were unlocked at Mayfield Drive and Potters Way.

The team said on social media: "Crime Prevention Quiz. Four cars in Buckley - Mayfield Drive and Potters Way

"One was locked, three were unlocked.

"Which cars had items stolen from them?

"Yes you got it, the three unlocked ones. The fourth vehicle, the offender just tried the door and walked away."
