WREXHAM’S town centre policing team has launched an operation to protect retailers and shoppers in the run up to Christmas.
Wednesday marked the start of Operation Santa, an initiative to provide a highly visible presence of police officers around the premises in the town centre and retail parks.

The aim is to combat both shoplifting and anti-social behaviour during the build up to Christmas.
The operation will also make use of the town's CCTV system.
