As we head into December, thoughts are on just how differently Christmas will be for many of us this year.

And it's not a great outlook for some.

But that has definitely not always been the case.

Today we look back at an event on the scale of what this year simply hasn't seen, Llangollen's Snow Queen parade, in December 1971.

It may have lacked the snow (despite what the Christmas cards and films always tell us) but it has fun and community spirit in bundles.

Are you pictured or did you watch the whole spectacle? More photos available online.

Or if you have any other memorable moments from the past, you can share those too. Maybe your first meeting with Santa, or an actual white Christmas/December. Did you 'star' in the school nativity or panto?
