VANS and trailers will be allowed access to Flintshire household recycling centres (HRCs) to dispose of domestic waste from Monday, a council has confirmed.

Restrictions are currently in place at HRCs to help keep everyone safe.

Flintshire Council has said these restrictions will remain in place until such time as Government advice and guidance changes.

A spokesman said: "We are pleased to announce that from November 23 vans and trailers (with a valid permit, where applicable) will be allowed access to the household recycling centres to dispose of domestic waste.

"The collection of free soil conditioner will also commence from the same date.

"The household recycling centres are open for residents of Flintshire only to dispose of household recycling and waste.

"Before visiting a site we would ask you to please think carefully about your trip and whether you need to make it.

"For the safety of the public and our employees special site safety measures to control the centres have been introduced."
