MOTORISTS have been warned to take precautions following thefts of car parts in Flintshire.
The warning, from North Wales Police's community safety team, was released on Friday afternoon.
A spokesman said: "Beware - thieves are out and about stealing catalytic converters.
"One has been stolen off a Toyota Prius overnight last night on Woodland Street in Shotton.
"Park your car in a way that makes it difficult. Park so that the exhaust is nearest to fence/wall."
Speaking of the Shotton theft on resident, who did not want to be named, said: "I didn’t think that sort of thing went on around here.
"I don’t feel safe leaving my car outside my own house.”
