Holywell’s Town Mayor, Lynda Carter, was welcomed by McCrory Holdings, a North-West based construction and development company, to their new luxury property development - The Copper Beeches at Old Chester Road.

The development offers 70 plus luxury apartments within a unique plot on the site of the former Lluesty Hospital. The mayor commended The Copper Beeches for bringing new life to Holywell and to where the old hospital used to stand. They planted a young copper beech tree in commemoration which will grow with the development.

One of the main aspects of the development that McCrory Holdings are proud of, and that impressed the mayor is the sustainable approaches the construction team have implemented. Using rainwater harvesting methods, all the external and internal works have been completed so far with recycled rainwater. This includes the pointing, brickwork, plastering and tiling, majorly reducing the development’s water impact.

Additionally, the waste left over from the demolished old buildings on site were crushed down and processed to be used in the formation of the roads. This reduced the amount of waste materials going to landfills as well as the carbon impact of transport to and from.

The company employed local direct and subcontracted labour on the development and used locally sourced materials to help benefit the local economy. This again highly reduced the carbon cost of increased travel.

Situated in the heart of North Wales, the properties offer luxury living in a quiet area with easy access to large cities such as Chester, Liverpool and Manchester. Phase 1 of the development is to be completed by the end of 2020 and the show apartment is ready now for viewings.
