The plea comes from the Rhos Community Council, who have decided to cancel the event due to the current lockdown.

A spokesperson, said: "Due to the current fire-break lockdown, we have made the difficult decision to cancel this year’s Remembrance Sunday Parade and church service.

"The service at the Rhos Cenotaph will be invite only for members of The Royal British Legion, uniformed and armed service organisations.

"The Cenotaph will close between 10.30am and 11.30am, anyone wishing to lay a wreath or cross is welcome to do so outside of these times.

"Please ensure that social distancing requirements are followed at all times."

The service will be played over speakers, and there will be no formal road closures in place.
