POLICE in Wrexham have issued a closure notice to protect a vulnerable resident.
The Leader has reported recently on efforts by North Wales Police's Wrexham town team to tackle a variety of issues in Offa ward.
Officers there have been using high visibility patrols and measures such as closure notices to disrupt crime including drug dealing, which can target vulnerable residents.
The Wrexham town police team announced on Friday that action has also been taken in another nearby community.
A spokesman said: "Caia Neighbourhood Police Team secured a 48 hour closure notice on the address of a vulnerable male.
"Persons who were taking advantage of him were removed and told not to return. "This protects the male and helps to get him moved to a safer property."
