Libraries making a difference during lockdown

The Carnegie UK Trust recently commissioned a report into UK public library services exploring their role supporting individuals and communities during lockdown and the barriers they faced during this time.

It also explored their role in supporting the recovery from the Covid-19 pandemic and what it would take to unleash the full potential of what public library services have to offer us all.

They have identified four key messages. Public library services had a positive impact on those who engaged with them during lockdown; public library staff made a valuable contribution to the Covid-19 response; public library services and their staff could have delivered much more but faced barriers in doing so; and public library services have huge potential to support individuals and communities as they navigate the short, medium and long-term impacts of the Covid-19 pandemic. Plethu gan Rhian Cadwaladr

The Leader:

Dyma stori am berthnasau. Mae Elin wedi penderfynu gadael ei gŵr gan feddwl basa pethau yn gwella pan ddechreuodd perthynas newydd gyda hen ffrind sy'n byw yn Yr Iwerddon. Ond dydy pethau ddim yn gweithio allan fel yr hoffai. Mae'n darganfod bod trio cynnal perthynas o bell yr un adeg a threfnu i gael ysgariad yn achosi problemau ac mae yna sawl basa'n hoffi chwalu ei breuddwydion. Beth yw'r ateb i sefyllfa Elin a Rhys? Ydi pethau yn mynd i weithio allan neu basa'n well iddi ildio a dychwelyd adref?
