A Nercwys mum-of-one is backing Mold town centre’s business community and opening her own clinic.

Michelle Williams, 41, has previously rented a space within the town’s High Street tanning salon, Tanz n Hanz, to run her Eyelicious Brow, Lash and Skin Clinic business for the past eight years, but she is now branching out on her own and opening her new clinic in early November - Covid regulations permitting.

Michelle says it’s time to seize the moment and be positive about the future.

She said: “I’ve enjoyed my time renting a space at Tanz n Hanz but the plan was always to open my own clinic.

"The perfect site became available in Earl Road and I instantly decided I had to grab the opportunity.

“People may question why at a time when we are in the middle of a global pandemic, especially as my job is all about close contact services. But I think we must have confidence in the future and seize the initiative.

“This site is in the perfect location and absolutely what I was looking for. You have to have a vision, and this is perfect and just what I wanted.”

She added: “I also want to back Mold as a town centre. I hate seeing empty shop units, but I’ve got faith in the Mold business community, the town and county council. I’m keen to work with them to see how we can improve our town centre for everyone.

“The business community and my new business neighbours have been wonderful and very welcoming. I’m working hard to get the clinic fitted and ready to open, Covid-19 allowing, in early November.

“I’ve made sure the tradespeople I’m using to carry out the fitting and decoration are local. I’ve got Glyn Topley Building Service’s of Mold carrying out the main works and Richard Lloyd of Gwernaffield is doing the decorating. I think it’s important to keep money spent on the project locally in Mold.

“That’s also why I’ve already signed up to the Totally Mold Scheme which launches at the end of October.

“The Mold Town Council initiative is a local voucher scheme to help encourage people to shop local and use local services and to look at what the town has to offer before taking custom elsewhere.”

Mold Town and Flintshire County councillor Chris Bithell says he's delighted to learn of Michelle's new business venture in the heart of Mold town centre.

He said: "I wish her every success. It is encouraging to note that established business operators are ready and willing to invest and branch out at this time.

"It demonstrates there is confidence in the future and in our local economy as a market town in serving the needs of those living in the area.

"It is also pleasing to note that the endeavours of the Town Council with local businesses in promoting the town with the Totally Mold voucher scheme is both valued and appreciated by the local businesses.”
