People's living rooms are now the front row to some special star-studded events - for free.

Theatr Clwyd, in Mold, has announced free online events with acclaimed actors and writers who have appeared on the Flintshire arts centre's stage.

The theatre's new 'In Conversation With' series was launched by artistic director Tamara Harvey earlier this month, with a test event starring the theatre's much-loved pantomime dame Phylip Harries, with pantomime writer Christian Patterson.

Following that successful trial the theatre will virtually welcome back musical theatre stars Lucie Jones and Layton Williams, as well as Olivier Award-winning playwright Laura Wade, alongside TV star of The IT Crowd and Humans, Katherine Parkinson.

The next 'In Conversation With' event will be on Tuesday, October 27, at 7pm with Lucie Jones and Layton Williams.

Wales' Lucie in an acclaimed actor and singer who rose to fame competing on ITV's The X Factor. Her career rocketed with stage roles in the West End and around the UK, including as the lead role in Legally Blonde, and in 2017 she represented the UK in the Eurovision Song Contest.

Layton has recently played the title role in West End hit musical Everyone's Talking About Jamie and played the role of Stephen Carmichael in BBC TV comedy Bad Education alongside Jack Whitehall.

In 2016 both actors performed in Theatr Clwyd's production of Rent.

The third event in the series on Wednesday, November 11, at 7pm will reunite the writer and lead actor from Theatr Clwyd's recent Olivier Award-winning West End production of Home, I'm Darling.

Famous for her hit play Posh, which was adapted into the 2014 film The Riot Club, playwright Laura Wade wrote Home, I'm Darling. She will be joined by acclaimed actor Katherine Parkinson, who has also appeared in hit shows Doc Martin, Inside No. 9 and is currently starring in Channel 4's Taskmaster.

Tickets for both online events are free and can be booked on Theatr Clwyd's website (www.theatrclwyd.com). More events will be announced shortly.
