Scam warning from North Wales Police
POLICE have raised awareness of a con circulating in a bid to stop victims falling foul of scammers.
North Wales Police shared an image of a text message where someone posed as a major bank branch asking the phone user to visit a page after an unauthorised device is alleged to have attempted a payment using their account.
A spokesman for the force said: “Please be aware this and other ‘alerts’ are currently circulating. DO NOT click on you link and if in doubt contact your bank via official channels.”
