JAY HARRIS declared the potential takeover of Wrexham by Hollywood stars Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney as "absolutely unbelievable".
The tenacious midfielder was reacting to the news that broke on Wednesday night as he and his team-mates were doing pre-season friendly battle with Telford United.
Harris, fresh off the pitch having played 90 minutes, said: "He's a major superstar, but at the end of the day, it's out of our hands as playing staff. We can't let that distract us.
"It's brilliant if it goes through and it will be great for the club and the community.
"It's exciting for all of the players, fans, community and the club.
"It's absolutely unbelievable if it goes through."
Ever the professional, Harris is determined that takeover talk won't distract Wrexham from their goal of winning promotion from the National League this season.
"We can't let it become a circus," he added. "We've got to focus on what we want to do and the targets we've got, and we can't let that distract us."
