THE Mayor of Wrexham has welcomed the news that the town's football club could soon be bought by a pair of Hollywood stars.
Excitement in the town is fever pitch after it was revealed that the investors interested in the club were actors Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney.
Mayor Rob Walsh said it was an exciting prospect for both the club and the town.
Cllr Walsh said: "This is potentially very exciting news for Wrexham AFC. Not only the investment but the publicity this is bringing.
"The interest shown in the club by both gentlemen is really putting the town on the world map. It would be nice to think in the not too distant future fans can return to the Racecourse and we can welcome both Mr Reynolds & Mr Elhenney not just to the club, but the town as well."
