A PERSON has been hospitalised following a "police incident" on the A55 in Flintshire.
At 2pm both the eastbound and westbound carriageways of the A55 were closed between from J34 Ewloe and J33 Flint.
However, shortly before 3pm Traffic Wales confirmed that all lanes in both directions have now reopened following the earlier incident.
A Welsh Ambulance Service said spokesperson said: “We were called at 1.23pm this afternoon, Monday 21 September, to an incident on the A55 at Northop.
"We sent one emergency ambulance to the scene, and one patient is being conveyed to Wrexham Maelor Hospital.”
Traffic reports state that an air ambulance was also called to the scene.
North Wales Police says the incident was in relation to concerns for a woman's safety.
