From all walks of entertainment and sport, people have been snapping selfies with their heroes at comic cons, meet and greets or out on the street.

• Kyla Gibbons, from Chester, met actress Barbara Windsor in the city centre, June 2017: "I was shopping in Chester on a Saturday afternoon when I noticed her walking along with her husband. She asked me if there was a theatre nearby and where it was and her husband offered to take a picture, which I thought was nice. She is such a lovely lady."

• Lorraine Poole, from Rhyl, met actor Kiefer Sutherland at Wrexham Comic Con: "We waited all day to meet him. It rained all day, so by the time I actually got to him I was soaked through. So totally worth it. He was very pleasant and I’ll never forget how warm the hug was he gave me. I didn’t want it to end. Lovely."

• Charlotte Mallon, from Queensferry, met actor/presenter Danny Dyer at Gmex Manchester in 2008: "Met Danny Dyer and Tamer Hassan at a Comic Con event. Had a meet, greet and signed photo."

• Anthony Pallister, from Halkyn, met comedian Chris Ramsey at the Rhyl Pavilion Theatre about five years ago: "My wife and I went to see him perform and afterwards Chris was happy to sign autographs and chat."

• Amanda Murphy, from Wrexham, met singer Gareth Gates in March 2018: "I was on cruise ship the Britannia with party of four and Gareth was there singing in one of the lounges we had booked. I got up to dance and even had bit of song with him. it was brill."

• Becky Wilson, from Wrexham, met boxer Tyson Fury in Bradford, February 2019: "I had bought tickets for a meet and greet with Tyson Fury for my partner Kevin Griffiths' birthday, as he is my partner's absolute idol. It was brill, we had a hog roast and a live auction, with all the proceeds going to Mind charity. The look on my partner's face was priceless."

• Rebecca Griffiths, from Gwersyllt, has this photo of a special meeting for son Liam Roberts, 11 years ago: "Mike Tyson saw my son as he was leaving the event at the Centenary Club at Wrexham FC and come over to meet him."

• Rebecca Griffiths also had another sporting legend meeting, at Brickfield FC, Wrexham, about 12 years ago: "Me, my dad Roy, my son Liam meeting Ian Rush, who was signing autographs for the teams."

• Burberry Bagnall, from Wrexham, met footballer Denis Law, 12 years ago, at Manchester United VIP dining with Man Utd, and also met Robbie Savage: "I was a mascot for Man United I got chose by them as I’d been so poorly and a lot of heart surgery. I am 21 and I’ve just had a quadruple bypass. Thank you for listening to my story."
