SEVERAL new coronavirus cases have been confirmed in Wrexham and Flintshire, according to the latest public health data.

Figures released by Public Health Wales reveal that as of September 15, there were five new confirmed cases in Wrexham, with three confirmed in Flintshire.

These figures take the total confirmed cases in Wrexham to 1,468, with Flintshire standing at 835.

Regionally, the latest figures show there were a total of 21 new cases confirmed across North Wales covered by Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board, taking the overall total up to 5,069.

Conwy saw the highest number of new confirmed cases as six were reported, with four in Anglesey, two in Denbighshire, and one in Gwynedd.

There have been no new suspected COVID-related deaths across Wales.

To date, the total number of people in Wales who have died after testing positive for coronavirus still stands at 1,597.

So far, 419,126 people have undergone coronavirus tests in Wales.
