THERE have been a further 183 cases of Covid-19 in Wales, bringing the total number of confirmed cases in the country to 19,573.

Public Health Wales said no further deaths had been reported, with the total number of deaths since the beginning of the pandemic remaining at 1,597.

In North Wales, there were 29 new positive tests.

The highest number of new cases was again the Aneurin Bevan University Health Board, which covers Caerphilly and Newport, with 71.

In Flintshire there were six new cases, and five were reported in Wrexham.

The highest number of new cases was reported in Conwy with 11.

There were three new positive tests in Gwynedd, and two each in Denbighshire and Anglesey.

There have now been 5,048 confirmed positive coronavirus tests in North Wales as a whole.
