A FACTORY in Flintshire has confirmed a small number of coronavirus cases amongst staff.

Kimberly-Clark, based in Flint, has confirmed that a small group of employees have tested positive for the virus and are now following the required period of isolation to avoid spreading the virus further.

Production at the factory has not been impacted and will continue.

A spokesman for the company said: "Kimberly-Clark’s highest priority is to protect the health and safety of our employees around the world.

"We can confirm that a small number of employees at our Kimberly-Clark Professional Mill at Flint - which manufactures personal care products for businesses - have tested positive for COVID-19 and are recovering well at home.

"A small group of employees working in collaboration with the individuals are self-isolating and being tested for COVID-19. Production is not impacted in any way.

"In line with our company procedures and local health authority guidelines, we have been following enhanced cleaning and sanitising measures since the start of the pandemic and we are continuing to follow these strict protocols.

"We’re also keeping employees up to date on our actions and giving them guidance on how they can continue to protect themselves."
