A WREXHAM school will be closed tomorrow after a member of staff tested positive for coronavirus.
St Christopher's School issued a statement after they were informed a primary school teacher had tested positive for Covid-19.
The school will be closed until at least September 9.
A spokesman said: "This morning we were made aware that a member of staff from the primary phase tested positive for Covid-19.
"This is currently an isolated incident and we are working closely with public health Wales and the local authority to ensure that we are putting everything in place to keep everybody safe.
"The health and safety of our pupils and staff is paramount and we will always prioritise this in our decision making.
"We will be in touch with you as soon as we have any further information. In the meantime, please contact us in the school office if you would like to discuss with your heads of phases.
"Thank you for your co-operation and patience during this difficult and unprecedented time.
"As a result, the school will continue to be closed tomorrow as a precautionary step and we will work to re-open on Wednesday 9 September."
