A LOCAL group will begin a phased restart of community walks as lockdown restrictions continue to ease.

From September 4, the Community Wales group will be restarting with a morning walk.

However, at present, afternoon walks will not yet be restarting.

The group has issued the following rules which will apply:

  • All walkers must have their own face coverings and sanitisers
  • Initial walks are limited to 12 people on a first come first served basis
  • You will be required to supply contact details (Test , Trace, Protect) as per Welsh Gov Guidelines
  • Anyone not feeling well or with any of the following symptoms is asked not to walk (high fever, continuous cough or loss of taste and smell)
  • There are no onsite toilet facilities
  • A walk register will be completed by a single Walk Leader
  • Social distancing will be maintained at all times

A spokesman said: "You will be asked to take away and complete a new health Questionnaire

"It is our intention to make the walks as safe as possible for everyone. We look forward to seeing you.

"Please Note Shotton Community walks will remain suspended for the foreseeable future."
