A LEVEL students at Whitby High School in Ellesmere Port have been praised for their achievements in difficult circumstances.
Students received their A level and BTEC results on Thursday morning (August 13).
A school spokesperson said: "Not only are we extremely proud of their achievements but the way in which they have approached today in such difficult circumstances has been remarkable.
"Our students’ future pathways are looking very exciting, including competitive higher apprenticeship placements, higher education institutions including University of Cambridge (Natural Sciences), University of Bristol (Veterinary Science), UCLAN (Midwifery), University of Liverpool (Biological & Medical Sciences) University of Manchester (Chemical Engineering) University of York (International Relations) and many others.
"Students have shown real resilience and positivity in the face of unprecedented circumstances."
Headteacher Bryn Heeley said: “Everyone within school is extremely proud and impressed by students’ achievements and the manner in which they have approached such uncertain times.
"We wish them all the very best for the future as they embark on the next phase of their lives.”
