AN investigation is under way following a suspected arson attack on a commercial building in Ellesmere Port.
The incident in New Grosvenor Road was reported to Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service at 8.26am on Thursday, August 6.
Two fire engines attended from Ellesmere Port.
On arrival, the crews discovered that it was a small fire involving the front door and there was light smoke logging inside the building.
Firefighters extinguished the fire with a hose reel jet and cleared the smoke with a large fan.
They also inspected the building, including the roof space, to make sure that the fire had not spread.
A thermal imaging camera was used to look for hotspots.
Firefighters were in attendance for around half an hour.
An investigation into the cause of the fire has taken place.
The fire is believed to have been started deliberately.
