As a young girl, I loved village or town carnivals, and was in awe of every queen to grace a float.
Just to be in the 'royal' party was the stuff of dreams.
Sadly it was never to be for me (although I've played Mary in the Nativity - twice).
This annual fun event will be missing from across the region this year, as Covid-19 sees so many events for 2020 cancelled.
So let's take a trip to summers gone, and the reign of some carnival queens.
If you are one of those pictured, or know any, let us know your memories of that special occasion.
Or do you have photos from your local carnival?

Let's enjoy and relive the fun of the carnival all over again.
