TWO young brothers have gone the extra mile to turn a fundraising campaign into an 'action of Hope'.

Peter and Jayden Bennington, of Caia Park, put on their best walking shoes to raise hundreds for the CAFOD, Summer of Hope Campaign.

The pair watched the CAFOD assembly as part of their home schooling and decided they wanted to help.

As a result, they each walked 5km from their home to St Anne's Church where a handful of parishioners were waiting to cheer them on whilst adhering to the social distancing advice.

From the fundraising campaign, the siblings, who are from the parish of St Anne's, raised £350 for the cause.

The CAFOD charity is encouraging young people to transform their fundraising ideas into an action of hope by recreating events that would be missed this summer.

Funds raised ensure the survival of communities across the world.
